In 2024, between January and May, I made exactly 100 photos with a Toyo-View 4x5 field camera, running through four packs of Ilford HP5+ 400 film. I spent countless hours in the darkroom developing, printing and eventually scanning my work. I brought this camera to eight states– Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Washington, Oregon and California. It came with me wherever it could. It taught me to slow down, and it taught me how to find the right moment in a way a digital camera could never facilitate. These are just a few of my favorite moments I was able to capture.
