I prepared the photographer, Molly Miller, before the Super Bowl parade by helping her choose appropriate gear and talking her through anxiety about working in a large crowd. I made the image selection remotely and designed a web long form. Then, I chose the A1 image and worked with a designer to build the print photo page for: 'Our own dynasty': Kansas City fetes latest Super Bowl win."

I made the image selection for this assignment once the photographer, Minh Connors, returned to the newsroom. I toned the photos and made a print edit. I worked with a designer to make the photo page for: "Battle seniors celebrate the future at annual College Signing Day."

After finding out 54 Country was closing, I pitched this story to the newsroom, handing it off to a different editor to plan a short documentary. I coordinated with photographer Clayton Steward to make the image selects and built the web long form. I also coordinated with a designer to plan the print layout for: "Last Saturday night in Fulton for local dance hall 54 Country."

I helped chose an A1 image and design the print page with these photographs from Minh Connors. The photographs were made to accompany the story: '"A special thrill': What to know ahead of True/False Film Fest."

I assigned this story to Molly Miller because she has an interest in government and political processes. I prepared her for what to expect as far as permission and what kind of photographs to look for. When she returned to the newsroom, I helped her make a select and toned the images. Then, I created the web longform and helped design the print layout for: "Parson delivers State of the State address."
